The Future Watch London City Airport

11am, Monday 21st July

LONDON CITY AIRPORT wants to expand. In July, Newham Council will decide whether to let them.

The Airport has already outgrown its Docklands location. More expansion will mean more noise, more air pollution and more heavy traffic in the streets near the airport.

Meanwhile proposals to revive the Royal Docks by replacing the airport with sustainable developments are gathering support: http://www.neweconomics.org/publications/entry/royal-docks-revival

On Monday 21st July at 11am we will go and watch the airport.

We will draw a circle around our eye to show that we are watching those with power and that we will judge them if they choose the toxicity of London City Airport over the health of local people and of London.

Groups of people from around the world have worn this symbol to show that we stand united for The Future.

Meet at 10.30am at the Roz Café, Pier Parade, E16 2LJ
